He was predeceased by: his parents, Jethro Daniel and Anna Grace Dawson (Lawrence); his children, Peggy Diane Dawson and Jeffrey Dale Dawson; his nephew George Hughes; his niece Molly Kay Kientzy; his brother Lawrence Dawson; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Anthony, Dola Dawson and Martha Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Kitchen; his son Charles Stephen "Steve" Dawson (Rhonda); his grandson Zack Dawson (Ashley); his great grandchild Graydon Dale Dawson of Sturgeon; his granddaughter Sarah Dawson (J. Humphrey) of Louisville, KY; his sister Betty Anthony; his siblings-in-law, Velma Dawson, Tom Kitchen and Donald Hughes; his nephews, Leroy Anthony, Mark Anthony, Carl Anthony, Lawrence Wayne Dawson, Richard Dawson, Kenneth Dawson, Keith Dawson, Mike Kitchen, John Kitchen and Gerald Hughes; and his niece Karen Dent. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
