He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bert Petrie and Louise Petrie; his wife Diana Scott Petrie; his daughters, Melissa Duran (Ken) of Mascoutah and Melanie Prouty (Greg) of Sedalia, MO; his grandchildren, Emily DeMarco (Kyle), Ian Duran, Alexa Rice, Aidan Duran, Alexander Rice and Rowan Prouty; his great grandchild Olive DeMarco; and his sister Jeannine Arens of Blue Springs. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
