He was predeceased by: his parents, Obert Leon and Mabel Montgomery (Fugate); his former wife Esther Elnore (Clay); and his brother Richard Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Ellen (James); his children, Larry Montgomery, Janet Hale (Tim) and Sheila Waters (Joseph); his stepchildren, Duane Frazelle, Billy Frazelle (Kathy), Cheryl Brogan (Tim) and Diana Wilson; and his siblings, Jean Plowman, Norma Roberts, Russell Montgomery and Gerald Montgomery. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
