She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ivan Tewell and Ella Henrietta Hays; her husband Bernard Joseph Bichsel; her daughter Rebecca Diane Bichsel; her grandson Bryce Michael Bichsel; her sister Bernice Chappel; and her daughters-in-law, Catherine Bichsel (Franklin) and Linda Bichsel (Lake).
She is survived by: her children, Paul Bichsel (Theresa) of Ballwin, MO, Kevin Bichsel (Ada) of Monroe City, Kent Bichsel (Lisa) of Monroe City, Mike Bichsel of Monroe City, Dan Bichsel (Carol) of Monroe City, Glenn Bichsel (Shelly) of Monroe City, Dorothy Moss (Dennis) of Monroe City, Lori Geers (Mike) of Troy, MO and Maria Dunger (Morris) of Ozark, MO. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the Garner Funeral Home (315 N Vine St, Monroe City, MO 63456). Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (27519 Monroe Co Rd 533, Monroe City, MO 63456).
Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church or Holy Rosary School.
