He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gatewood and Kathleen Gatewood (Kimbler); and his siblings, Floyd Albert Wood, Bobbie Joe Wood, Jeannett Barger, Jimmy Wood, Jack Wood and Henry Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry; his children, William Gatewood (Trish) of Stotts City, Misty Reynolds (Donnie) of Stotts City and Jessica Gatewood of Stotts City; his brother Ben Wood (Beverly) of Aurora; and his great grandchild Lulu. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
