He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carolyn Fox; his grandchildren, Shelby Abercrombie (Jordan), Ashton Roberts (Matthew) and Hailey Johnson; his great grandchild Gracie Abercrombie; his mother Daisy Johnson; his aunt Margie Dixon; his brother Eddie; and his sister-in-law Debbie Johnson. He was also cherished by brother and sister in laws, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alder Missionary Baptist Church.
