He was predeceased by: his parents, Linus Rogers and Ellen Rogers; his parents-in-law, Roy and Luella Hollingshead; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Sterling and Raymond Schick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shari Cole (Andrew) of Bentonville, AR and Shani Burkhart of Springfield, MO; his siblings, Patti Sterling of Stockton, KS, Loie Lewin (Jim) of Salina, KS and Jim Rogers (Lorna) of Stockton, KS; his sisters-in-law, Letha Glaum (Stanley) of Manhattan, KS and Edith Schick of Logan, KS; his grandchildren, Meghan Sims (Ethan) of Altamonte Springs, FL, Nick Rogers (Andrea) of Bentonville, AR, Shane Burkhart of Austin, TX, Jason Burkhart (Lauren) of Joplin, MO and Chris Burkhart (Lisa) of Springfield, MO; and his great grandchildren, Cora, Anna, Maya, Ben, Eli, Alex, Audrey, Nolan and Tate. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In the spirit of giving, in lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to St. Jude, who provided healing care to great grandson Ben, when he was 5 years old.
