She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Burns and Jewell Burns (Morlan); her husband Merlyn Bowen; her sons, Jerry Bowen and Berlyn Bowen; her siblings, Wilma Nash (Paul) and Leroy Burns; and her siblings-in-law, Joe Ben Essex and Beverly Burns.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Wykoff (Aaron) of Stockton, Brenda Shanks (Mike) of Lockwood and Tommy Bowen (Amber); her siblings, Norma Jean Essex of Humansville, Ruth Simmons (Kent) of Stockton, Lloyd Burns (Ruth) of Stockton and Larry Burns of Stockton; and her sister-in-law Angie Burns of Stockton. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and countless cousins, nephews, and nieces.
