Though Blanche Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Blanche Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Brown and Gillespie Epp Brown; her husband Charles Edward Cowan; and her siblings, Elsie Uphoff, Dick Brown and Bill Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelley McLain of Edgerton, KS and Marsha Cowan (Jan Remund) of Stockton, MO; and her grandchildren, Spencer, Cameron and Ashley. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bland-Brumback Funeral Home (306 S High St, Stockton, MO 65785). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenland Cemetery.
