He is survived by: his siblings, William Harrison and Stella Cleo Thornton (Turner); and his children, Bernard J Thornton, Jr. (Linda) of Manchester, Janice Carter and Sharon Kennon. He is also survived by thirteen great grand children and one great great grandson.
