He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Moran; his children, Larry Runyan (Kathy), Betsy Medina (George), Cathy Wixson (Scott), Meg Stafford (Tom), Annie Kremers (Doug), Joe Runyan (Lena) and James Hudgens (Jenny); his grandchildren, Jen, Cam, Jo, Jane, Eli, Kathleen, Ryan, Kelly, Catherine, Grace, Ellie, Henry, Emma, Jimmy, Austin, Sam and Tori; his great grandchildren, James, Luke, Ben, Jack and Owen; and his siblings, Mary Lynn Sheehy and Tom Runyan (Jackie).
A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2618 Seneca St, St Joseph, MO 64507).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Ascend Hospice or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
