He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Maness, Sr. and Mae L. Pruitt (Johnson); and his grandfather Roy Henan Maness of Potosi, Missouri.. He is survived by: his stepfather Leroy C. Johnson of Bonne Terre, Missouri.; his son Jonathan Maness (Chrissy) of Viburnun, Missouri.; his grandchildren, David Maness, Ethan Mayes, Austin Mayes, Cara Ware, Blake Ware, Daisy Monks, Justin Maness, Brianna Maness, Mckayla Maness, Dalton, Ryan Maness and Michelle Maness; his siblings, Shirley Gowen (William) of Bonne Terre, William "Bunny" Maness (Linda) of Cadet Missouri, Verna Eckhoff (David) of Bonne Terre, Lisa Norris (John) of Desloge and Beverly McCosar (Victor); and his stepmother Blanche Maness of Cadet Missouri. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
