With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Katherine Baker (Steelville, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Sutton and Docia Sutton; her husbands, Jack Kimmons and Jim Baker of Davisville; her stepchildren-in-law, Troy Pyatt and Joyce Baker; and her siblings, Volly, Woodrow, Bill, Walter, Roy Lee, Jerry, Joe Sutton, Gertie Carver, Imogene Johns and Doris Mae Wisdom.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Morgan (Tom) of Cuba, MO and Mark Kimmons (Suzanne Beauchamp) of Brandenburg, KY; her stepchildren, David Baker (Terry) of Steelville, MO, Dennis Baker (Patty) of Ozark, MO, Sharon Pyatt of Cuba, MO and Sandy Greathouse (Paul) of Steelville, MO; her grandchildren, Beverly Baker, Jeffrey Baker (Dawn), Kimberly Gehlert (Shannon), Sherry Brand (Kyle), Christina Brashar (Jared), Timothy Baker, Adam Baker (Felicia), Will Austin (Britney), Craig Austin (Sonya), Katelyn Maddox (Mike), Travis Pyatt (Holly), Tyler Pyatt (Emily), Wesley Greathouse (Molly), Heather Davis (Brett), David "D. J." Cain, Sean Adkins (Destiny), Nick Morgan and Olivia Basile (Justin); her great grandchildren, Emma, Devan, Dalton, Samantha, Carter, Aniah, Cody, Joe, Seth, Grant, Jack, Eleanor, Leighkin, Paige, Amber, Courtney, Madison, Kennedy, Owen, Gabriel, Bodie, Lane, Elijah, Evan, Justin, Vincent, Serenity, Brantly, Fletcher and Jace; and her great great grandchild Andrew. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home (110 Cedar St, Steelville, MO 65565). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at the Davisville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Davisville Cemetery.
