He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn McGowan; his children, Cindy Derks Hoy (Tom) of Sioux Falls, SD, Cathy Derks Johnson (John) and Eric Derks (Jamey); his grandchildren, Natalie Taylor, Matthew Taylor (Claire), Paul, David and Stephen Derks; and his great grandchildren, Lila, Addie and Charlotte.
