He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boatwright and Lula Boatwright (Jennings); his siblings, Leland, Marvin, Johnny Boatwright, Verna Simmons and Ila Motzkus; his grandson Jared Boatwright; and his great grandchild Dayun Boatwright.
He is survived by: his wife Doretha Giffin; his children, James Boatwright (Cindy) of Stanberry, MO, Daryl Lee Boatwright of Bethany, MO, Scott Boatwright of Stanberry, MO, Jerald Boatwright and Janet Betts of Stanberry, MO; and his sister Ruby Gregory of Stanberry, MO. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
