He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee and Opal Burks (Motzkus); and his siblings, Clifford, Marion Burks, Laura Simmons, Betty Marshall, Dorthea Dyas and Margaret Lambert.
He is survived by: his wife Imogene Steinman; his sons, Chester LaVern Burks (Marilyn), Kenneth Burks (Theresa), Max Burks (Renee), Norco and Raymond Burks; his grandchildren, Pamela Osborn (Barry), Timothy Burks (Jennifer), Michael, Jonathan Burks, Stephanie Knostman (Ryan) and Stacina Mungo (Casey); and his siblings, James Burks (Carol) of King City, MO and Bertha Rodriguez (Alex). He is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
