He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bell and Frances Bell (Coker). He is survived by: his wife Katherine Bell; his sister Jody Linney; his nieces and nephews, Jeff and Jerry Linney; his children, Randy Bell, Diana Bell-Sharp and Marshall Bell; his stepchildren, Lana Cummings, Christopher Mudd, Ann Steward, Michael Mudd and Galyn Mudd; and his brothers, Ray and Gerry. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
