We bid farewell to Walter M. Murphy of Springfield, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael P. Murphy and Beatrice A. Murphy (Henderson); his siblings, Robert E. Murphy, Edward, Natalie, Mary Frances and Marilyn; his former wife Helen Ann Boerner Murphy; and his daughter Jill Marie Keck Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Natalie Murphy (Kip Murphy) of Kimberling City, MO and Patrick Murphy (Sharon Murphy) of Springfield; his granddaughter Shannon Stafford (Nick Coffman); his great grandchildren, Creed Coffman of Nixa, Landon Stafford and Mason Stafford of Nixa; his granddaughter Rachel Murphy; his great grandchild Olivia Murphy of Nixa; his son-in-law Joe Keck of Nixa; and his grandsons, Jack Keck of Nixa and Ryan Murphy (Ally) of Springfield.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (3555 S Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO 65804). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church (3555 S Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO 65804). The military honors was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65807).
