She was predeceased by: her parents, Xaiver "Jack" Fromm and Anna Fromm (Goldsberry); her husband Gerald Blaine Winget; and her sisters, Jackie Helm and Mary Jane Addy.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Winget (Clarence Ehler) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sherry Jones (Scott Jones) of Springfield, Missouri; her grandson Blake Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her sisters, Betty Crise and Susie Kay Cox of Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made in Virginia's honor to Hospice Compassus in Springfield, Missouri.
