With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley L. Hair of Springfield, Missouri, born in Gideon, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her mother Jewell C. Wadsworth. She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Gene Wadsworth (Josephine) and Rita Lackey (Kullman); her husband Jim Hair of Springfield, Missouri; and her stepsons, Andrew Hair (Mary Jane) of El Paso and Chris Hair of Springfield. She is also survived by six nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Inc. (1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1601 N Douglass St, Malden, MO 63863).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
