It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Warren Hurd of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hurd and Nettie Hurd (Kai); his wife Sharon Hurd; his daughter Roxanne Hurd Wimberly; his sisters, Lois (Marion Sherburne) and Elaine (George Biermann); and his brothers-in-law, Gary Giese and Edwin Milligan.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mitzi (Glenn Suhr) of Florida and Cindy Milligan of Wayne, Nebraska; his sons, Steven Hurd (Tracey) and Darin Hurd (Stacey); his grandchildren, Colby Wimberly, Annie Wimberly, Abigail Forester, Olivia Feise, Charlie Hurd, Bland Landers and Roxy Hurd; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ava, Evan, Emma, Chloe, Finlee, Ella Grace, Gabriel, Miles and Nora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home - Buffalo (931 W Main St, Buffalo, MO 65622).
