It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Leslie Hackler (Springfield, Missouri), who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. G. "Hack" Hackler and Alice Milstead Hackler; his in-laws, G. B. and Meck Mason; his son Billy Hackler; and his grandson Cody Hackler.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley J Hackler; his children, Greg Hackler, Lisa Dunton (Bill) and Leslie Whitehead (Zach); his grandchildren, Lindsey Hackler, Jordan Hackler (Brooklyn), Drew Dunton (Hailey), Hannah Hackler, Allie Dunton and Mason Whitehead; and his great grandchildren, Colten, Austyn, Brooklyn, Alexander, Noah, Rose, Oliva and Harper June.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home East. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the High Street Baptist Church (900 N Eastgate Ave, Springfield, MO 65802). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Cemetery Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807).
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Development Center of the Ozarks where Richardson's grandson, Cody, attended.
