With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Eugene Clayton of Springfield, Missouri, born in Sabetha, Kansas, who passed away on September 5, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph James Clayton and Margaret Arlene Myers-Clayton; his grandmother Ethel Clayton; his sister Sharon Kay Clayton-Crunkleton; and his grandfather W. C. Clayton.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis LaDean Wood; his children, Sherry Mason-Clayton (Doug) and Randy Clayton (Laura Beth); his grandchildren, Matthew Clayton, Emily Clayton, Lauren Clayton and Ashlynn Mason; his great grandchild Scout Hammers; and his brother-in-law Byron Wood (LaDonna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
