He is survived by: his wife Iris Essick; his son Carl Essick; his daughter-in-law Nicole; his grandson Chayton Essick; his sister Dorothy Essick; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Aldridge (Marilyn), Steve Aldridge (Sandy), Mark Aldridge (Laura) and Barbara Thomas (Max). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
