Peggy Sue Gilbert Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Sue Gilbert of Springfield, Missouri, born in Mesa, Arizona, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Gilbert and Lucille Gilbert; and her siblings, Annette Gilbert, Ralph Woodall, Raymond Woodall, Betty Calhoun and James Gilbert.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Brantley, Dorothy "Dot" Gilbert and Henry Gilbert; her close friends, Maria Vicencio, Diane Clark, Courtney Pham and Robin Ridenour; and her grandson Chance Pham.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Inc. (1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804).
She co-founded the ACE Club to support students in rural Arkansas and was a founding member of the Tereze Harris Scholarship Foundation, which she personally funded for 10 years.
