She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Cobb; her grandson Christopher Cobb; her brothers, LeRoy Garton, Kenneth Garton (Irene) and Dorsey Garton (Hazel); and her daughter-in-law Della Cobb.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ed Garton (Pat) of Springfield and Shirley Herson (Leon) of Bonita Springs, Florida.; her sons, David Cobb (Amy) of Springfield, Bill Cobb of Carthage, Rick Cobb (Ruth) of Arlington and Dennis Cobb (Barbara) of Germantown, Tennessee.; her grandchildren, Angela Martin (Jason), Amy Sullivan (Justin), Justin Cobb, Ashley Newman (Andrew), Rachel Cobb-Mueller (Simon), Tyler Cobb, Rebekah Inman (Jonathan) and Ryan Cobb (Meghan); her great grandchildren, Lily Sullivan, Karly Sullivan, Josie Heckart, Jack Martin, Emma Cobb-Mueller, Phoebe Inman and Millie Cobb-Mueller; and her great great grandchild Ella Sullivan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home South (441 W Battlefield Rd, Springfield, MO 65807). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ozark Cemetery (521 W Hall St, Ozark, MO 65721).
In lieu of flowers, Mary Helen requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
