He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Miller and Bernice Miller; his daughters, Sharon Kay and Karen Renee; and his brother Jimmy.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Miller; his sons, Mark (Natalie), Todd (Gina) and Mike (Mary); his grandchildren, Logan, Landrey, Brandt, Nathan, Elizabeth, Jack and Kate; his siblings, Peggy Smith and Harvey Miller; and his sister-in-law Gail. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in Lowell's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
