With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Laurel McKean of Springfield, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Laurel left this world on December 20, 2024 at the age of 51, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Laurel may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Laurel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her father Douglas McKean. She is survived by: her mother Shirley McKean. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wesley Method Church, Southwest District Employee Fund, Watching Over Whiskers, or Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
