It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Gene Smith (Springfield, Missouri), who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Larry Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Larry Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Chad Smith; his parents, Lester Smith and Jeanette Smith; and his sisters, Joan Layton and Judy George.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Smith; his son Maddux Smith; his daughter-in-law Jianna Smith; and his sister Joyce Herd.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
