He was predeceased by: his parents, Urso George and May Lowe George; and his former wife DeAnn Dickerson George. He is survived by: his children, Sheila, Sarah and John; and his wife Connie George. He is also survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Jon's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
