He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Erwin and Velma Emma Erwin (Owens). He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Erwin (Gilbert); his son John P. Erwin (Michael Sanchez); and his siblings, Gloria Bielicke (Joe), Helen Curtin and Bert D. Erwin (Yuriko). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
