He was predeceased by: his parents, Golman James Hancock and Velma Glades Hancock (O'Neal); his former wife Ina Mae; and his siblings, Gerald and Deanna Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his brother John Hancock of Aurora; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Judy Hancock of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Zoë Hancock; and his stepchildren, Ed Skaggs (Sara) and Sue Lee (Buddy). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home (2001 W Walnut Lawn St, Springfield, MO 65807). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Ioof Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Convoy of Hope.
