As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his father Roy Lee Avery; his brother Willard; and his niece Brittany of Strafford, Missouri.. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Boyer Avery; his wife Renae Grimes; his son Christopher (Sara Cotter); his grandchildren, Corabell and Chase of Springfield; his stepson Dan Grimes (Rae Bausinger) of Tucson, Arizona; and his siblings, Charles (Norma) of Springfield and Teri Quick (Rick) of Strafford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
