We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2025, at the age of 100, Genevieve O'Brien of Springfield, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Wegenka and Mary Martha Wegenka; her daughter Catherine Ann O'Brien; and her siblings, Tony, Greg Wegenka, Mary Hilgert, Rose Watkins, Elizabeth Slahorek and Agnes Wegenka.
She is survived by: her sister Ann Sudo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her daughters, Mary O'Brien of Arlington, Virginia, Deborah Colcord (Skip) of Taunton, Massachusetts, Gwendolyn O'Brien of Alton, Illinois, Janet O'Brien of Altus, Oklahoma, Cindy Parker of Springfield, Missouri., Robin O'Brien of Springfield, Missouri. and Carolyn Lakey (John) of Springfield, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Heather Colcord, Jared Colcord, Devon Colcord, Cassie Parker, Andrea Parker, Adam Lakey and Lindsey Lakey; and her great grandchildren, Chase Colcord, Gavin Colcord and Carter Crawford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cathedral.
