He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lloyd Smith and Lela G. Smith (Baker); and his daughter Debra Kay Moseley (Smith). He is survived by: his siblings, W. H., Cecil, Danny, Teresa Shaw and Elaine Smith; his son-in-law Bob Mason; his sons, Ernest R. Smith Jr. and Gary Smith; his wife Judy Mae Smith (Estes); his daughters, Sherrie Mason, Kathie Overcash and Johnna McKinnis (Mark); and his siblings, Jerry Smith, Roxy Pitner (Art), Philip Smith (Barb), Becky Smith and Judy Niesent (Lonnie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless wonderful friends.
A committal service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
