He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermon Tyler and Bonnie Tyler; and his siblings, Gerald, Sherry and Glenn.

He is survived by: his children, Tim, Bonnie and Theresa; his wife Freda; and his sister Melba of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
