She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Monroe and Shirley Jean Holt (Keesling); her stepmother Jessie Holt; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia (Larry Long) and Edward Brooks.

She is survived by: her husband Stephen Brooks; her brothers-in-law, James Brooks (Beth) and Arthur Brooks; her half-sisters, Diana Garcia and Darlene Glasshoff; and her friends, Judy Morrison, Bill and Lori Wertz. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks or the Humane Society of Southwest, Missouri.
