He is survived by: his close friend Paula Moore; his children, Nikki Choate (Dalton) and Jerry Lee Choate (Molly); his grandchildren, Bexley and Hesston York; and his siblings, Mary McCleary (Jim), Rob Choate (Nancy), Richard Choate (Kerry), Kelly Choate (Carol), Norman and Steve Choate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
