Though Charlene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charlene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcella Hartley (Moore) and Charles Juneau Hartley; her husband Richard Monroe Twitchell; and her stepgranddaughters, Stephanie Elaine Rowe and Cortney Donalissa Johnson. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Parker Mortuary Chapel - Joplin. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or to Gentiva Hospice in care of Parker Mortuary.
