With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chancy Darrell Van Pelt of Springfield, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 7, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chancy Pelt and Goldie Van Pelt; his sister Gloria Clark; his brother-in-law Veryln Clark; his sister Bonnie Jensen; and his brothers-in-law, Stan Jensen and Duane Scholl.
He is survived by: his sister Pat Scholl; his children, Jeff Van Pelt (Susie), Stacey Van Pelt and Nicole Hemingway (Jason); his grandchildren, Josh, Landon, Mariah Van Pelt and Jonah Hemingway; his great grandchild Nora Van Pelt; and his caregiver Rock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
