It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Smillie of Springfield, Missouri, born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Idalia Smillie of Springfield. He is survived by: his father Ralph Smillie; his wife Sharon; his daughters, Melissa Duncan (Troy) of Springfield and Whitney Pinkston (Michael) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Captain Ross Duncan, Jacob Pinkston, Maddie Duncan, Hannah Pinkston, Ellie Duncan and Harper Pinkston; and his brothers, Dick Smillie (Cyndi) of Springfield and Don Smillie (Marilyn) of Springfield. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Elementary - a school that was very dear to Bill's heart.
