As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bertha Louise may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Short; and her siblings, Eugene Hallett and Lorene Joslin. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Short, John Short (Sandi), Blaine Short (Sharolyn) and Sarah Wray (Kevin); her daughter-in-law Becky Christman (Short); and her sister Bonnie Hallett. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stumpff Funeral Home (214 N Commerce St, Crane, MO 65633). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be given to Greene County Baptist Association for contribution to Grand Oak Mission Center in Louise Short's name.
