He is survived by: his wife Jannice Johnson of Springfield, MO; his daughter Holly Nelson of Dallas Texas; his granddaughters, Ta'Niya Payne of Dallas, TX and A'Miyah Nelson of Dallas, TX; his brothers, John Bassett Jr. (Dorothy) of Americus, GA and Emtee Milton McDonald of Kansas City, KS; his cousin Terrol McNeal; his uncle Anthony Green Sr.; his mother-in-law Odessa Johnson of Springfield, MO; and his brothers-in-law, Johnnie Rollins of Springfield, MO, Sylvester Rollins of Springfield, MO, James Johnson Jr. (Zelda) of Springfield, MO, Charles Johnson of Springfield, MO, Larry Johnson (Latiqua) of Springfield, MO and Joele Johnson (Virginia) of St. Paul, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Cemetery Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807).
