She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Nicholson and Rita Nicholson (Shepherd); and her daughter Carolyn Coney. She is survived by: her husband Lester Brownell; her children, Gary Brownell, Gwen Comer, Jaron Brownell and Jeanette Wilson; her brother Joe Nicholson; and her stepsister Waneta Vaughn. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
