He was predeceased by: his parents, Matel Holt and Althea Hampton; his wife Peggy Bogle; his siblings, Rodger Hampton, Doug Holt, Lawrence Hampton, Denny Hampton, Judy Bruton and Janet Watkins; and his granddaughters, Mandy Hampton and Heidi Strong.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Hampton (Lana), Jerry Hampton and Gayla Lafferty (Terry); and his siblings, Becky Davis (Donnie), Tina Trent (Ronnie) and Jeff Hampton (Sheila). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his church family and countless friends.
