He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Murlin and Ida Swearengin (Yates); his siblings, Betty Fitzgerald, Tommy Swearengin (Dwight Swearengin) and Stanley Workman; and his sister-in-law Floretta Swearengin.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Yeary; his children, Robert Swearengin, Roger Swearengin, Tina Workizer (Randy) and Christy Barb (Matthew); his adoptive son Kenny Heriford; his grandchildren, Anna Swearengin, Megan Workizer, Ally Barb, Davin Workizer and Chandler Barb; his great grandchild Finley June Rubrecht; his siblings, Peggy Grimes (Jesse), Joan Workman, Dean Swearengin (Dortha) and Janis Preston (Bill); and his sister-in-law Diane Swearengin.
