He is survived by: his wife Janice Eakins; his children, Paula Chasteen (Marty Chasteen), Guy Eakins (Laura Eakins) and Alan Eakins; his siblings, Janet Heatherly, Chuck, Tim, James and Mark Eakins; and also Scott Thomason (Pam Thomason). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
