She is survived by: her husband Leroy Vansandt; and her children, Wayne Vansandt (Michelle) of Blue Springs, Julene Kost (Jim) of Gladstone and Brenda Smith of Independence. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
