For Mae is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albie McKinley and Gertie McKinley; her husbands, Sidney G. Johnson and Max J. Wells; her grandson Earl R. Gilliam; and her daughter Frances Johnson-Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Groom of Visalia, CA, Kay Mitchell of Liberty, MO, Norman R. Wells (Connie) of Smithville, MO and Donna Silva of Kansas City, MO; and her cousins, Debbie Fincher and Bonnita Kaye Case of Prescott, AZ.. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home (104 Church St, Smithville, MO 64089). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
