It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack Petitt of Smithville, Missouri, who passed away on August 19, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Howard and Katherine Frances Petitt (Shepherd); his siblings, Jean Shaw and Jerry Petitt; and his son Howard Petitt.

He is survived by: his wife Freta Mosby; his sons, Raymond Petitt and Randy Petitt; his grandchildren, Audrey (Simon), Rachel Petitt and Michael Petitt (Wanda); his great grandchildren, Michael, Olivia, Alaina and Caleb; and his sister Sue Hollon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
